🏟️ Code Clash: Unit 1 Team Battle
Five rounds, one champion squad. Terms, output duels, a final wager — and two Build Missions where your team writes REAL Java against the clock and the machine scores it. Projected by Mr. Babb; teams answer on whiteboards and build in VS Code or Replit.
SETUP
Squad registration
2–6 squads. Name yourselves — keep it school-appropriate, keep it intimidating.
Mr. Babb's console: you drive this from the projector. Every question has a Reveal button; you award points by clicking squad buttons. Each squad chip has tiny +/−50 overrides. Nothing saves on refresh — don't refresh.
Score a squad's build
When a squad calls done (or time's up), they bring their code up — paste it here, pick the squad, and let the machine score it. One scoring per squad.
🎲 FINAL GAMBIT — wager round
Each squad secretly writes a wager on their whiteboard: anything from 0 up to their current score. Then the final question appears. Right answer wins the wager; wrong answer loses it.
One line. One output. Everything from Unit 1 at once — what does it print?
System.out.println(5 + 12 * 18 - 10 / 2 % 2);
Settle the wagers
🏆 FINAL STANDINGS
Champions: one week of bragging rights and first pick of seats. Everyone else: the arena opens again next unit.
